The Role

 You will be part of a team and responsible for assessing patients’ care needs, planning and providing care, and checking that the care is effective. You will give high-quality care to patients.

You will carry out all types of care independently. You may also show procedures to, and supervise, other staff or student nurses.

Your duties may change depending on the ward or department and the needs of the patients.


You will lead, coordinate, and supervise other staff when needed to ensure patients receive the best care.

If the senior charge nurse, team leader, or deputy is not available, you will cover their role to keep the ward or department running smoothly.
