Financial assistance varies based on educational level: ₹300 per month for children below 5 years and those in classes I to V, ₹500 per month for classes VI to X, ₹750 per month for classes XI and XII, and ₹1,000 per month for degree or professional courses. Eligible students must apply through their respective educational institutions, which will verify and forward the applications to KSSM.

Objective:
To provide financial assistance for education to orphaned or vulnerable children living in below poverty line (BPL) families or in extremely poor socio-economic conditions.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Child must have lost one or both parents.
- Must be studying in government or government-recognized institutions (schools/colleges).
- Belongs to a BPL family or has an annual income below ₹2 lakhs (if not listed as BPL).
- Must be a resident of Kerala.
Scholarship Amount:
- Classes I – V: ₹300 per month
- Classes VI – X: ₹500 per month
- Classes XI – XII: ₹750 per month
- Degree / Professional Courses: ₹1000 per month
Documents Required:
- Death certificate of parent(s)
- Income certificate
- BPL certificate / ration card
- Educational certificate / admission proof
- Bank account details (preferably in the name of the student)
- Passport size photograph

- Apply online through the school or institution.
- Submit the printed form and documents to the school head, who will verify and forward to KSSM.
